The Leagues of Votann are the collective confederations of the stocky but powerfully built Abhuman clone species that refer to themselves as "Kin". They are sometimes referred to pejoratively as "Squats" by the humans of the Imperium. The Kin are an advanced, star-traveling race that possesses highly advanced technology and lives amidst the extreme environments that characterize the resource-rich worlds of the galactic core. The Kin share their lives with self-aware robotic constructs called the Ironkin, whom they treat as equals in all respects of society.
